Hey guys. Sorry I haven't been on here much.

I've been in slacker mode, but I have a present for ya'll.

Justin and I broke up.

Mutual decision, he wanted to kind of work on it, but I was just not feeling it anymore. No bad blood though. We hung out last night, it was strange, but not bad. Life has been busy. I haven't been able to unpack all my clothes. My new house is hardly near done, but I am having fun being independent. HAPPY EASTER to everyone. Sorry I have been slacking on the blog, but It will get worst. I won't have a computer for a while. :(

I will try and keep things pretty much up to date.

I'm sitting here playing with my ipod, and in my quest for something worth listening to my shuffle stops on this track by Lil Wayne Ft. Pharell. "Yes" Off of yet another one of Lil Waynes numerous Mixtapes. I stopped bothering to remember the number or even the name. He drops something new every 2 days. My brain dosen't process that fast. Anyway, I'm listening to the song and I hear wayne say...

Moving on Up

I was told last night that I had ONE DAY to move out of my tiny little one bedroom apartment. So today as you canprobally guess was hell. I didn't get to sleep untill around 7am. Then I was woken up at 9am by my wonderful and obnoxiously loud sister, then 5 minutes later "Captain Take Charge" (my madre) comes in and starts screaming out orders to get everything packed. Thank God I have these two cause still I don't know how I would have been able to pack everything up in this tiny rented UHAUL and move it alone. Justin had work, and I'm just not a motivated mover. Plus I procrastinate to much to really get anything done. I needed the support. (If you'd call yelling "Get of your little bum" support) Needless to say, we got everything packed up and moved from my upstairs apartment down to the UHAUL in 5 hours. (Yay us!) I never imagined how much unnecessary shit I had lyin' around my apartment. I had 4 Marilyn Monroe posters. Shoes I haven't worn in years. Ancient Makeup, just blah. It felt good to finally get rid of stuff and make room for new stuff (SHOES!) Yay. I'm excited to be moving into a bigger place. I get to re - decorate and all that Jazz. I'll have pictures soon. :)

So tonight I had the pleasure of chit chattin' with the remarkable cat "DizZy" who just dropped his newest mixtape "DizZyana NO HOOKS" haven't heard it yet? Check the link in my previous post. Dude is bananas, and is a really down to earth person. Who has a really good outlook on life and his music. He knows where he stands, and it was like talking to a good friend and just cakin' then having an actual interview with him. Hope you guys enjoy it, I did. And again...

DL: How are you doing, how are you enjoying all the feedback from the Mixtape so far?

DizZy: Im okay I guess.. I expected a bigger response. I had a lot of bloggers saying they was gone post and review. Blah blah.. Didn't happen.. Well yet. But im good. I love the finished project

DL: Well I deff. wanted to put it out on my blog. I think real recognize real. And you hold real talent.

DizZy: Thanks. I really appreciate that. It means alot

DL: No problem at all. Sooo The inevitable question, the one everyone ask. LOL What got you into music? What are your influences to even grab the mic, the pen, and the pad?

DizZy: Haha. U must have skipped the intro. One asked that. Just you lol

DL: Naw, I heard that. I wanted to ask for myself. We gettin' in depth boy. Ha ha

DizZy: I had to express my frustrations with life and the shit that come with it. Dizzyana, if u listen close u can hear that its some shit on my mind. runnin, successful, the come up, sweet

DL: I can dig it. So I'm assuming thats what also keeps you focused and what keeps you doing what youre doing?

DizZy: Yeah. Runnin to that paper like the devil right behind em

DL: Exactly. When I first listened to your mixtape on "Dope Science's" blog the quote "Motivated by my hunger" came to mind. You seem really determined to get YOUR point across. No matter if people like what you have to say or not. You're not trying to be a "role model" youre simply being you.
DL: From that, is there anyone in the game that you look up too? Someone you may aspire to match in the game?

DizZy: Um.. Kinda. Cause as soon as I answer the question people start comparing and put me n some box. Kanye, Biggie, Hovito (Hoova for the simpletons) and Rick ross. I want to match them even tho they kinda share the same traits. Kanye for his great show.. Biggie with word play. Jay z for the hustle. Rick ross with the boss mentality

DL: Good list. I can appreciate that.

DizZy: thaaanks

DL: How do you feel about the rap game today? ALot of people are saying that its dead, and so on. Do you feel as though you're doing your part to try and revive it? Or would that be to much to hold on your shoulders? You're far from the "stanky leg" and the "soulja boys" of today. So your music is a breath of fresh air for me at least.

DizZy: Um. Revive the game? It aint dead.. The hunger is gone. Use to be folks with good talent had the drive to push it. Now the only ones that have drive is the folks who make "bs' like the soulja boys and the Stanky leg. Niggas don't make good albums no more. That's the issue. Nas was screamin hip hop was dead, but released a bunch of whack ass cd's to keep it there. Old ass nigga.

DL: Lmao. I can deff. agree with that. They are simply worried about what sells. Money is more important than the actual talent snd strive behind the music.

DizZy: Yeah. Use to get 20 songs on a cd. Now u get 12

DL: Now youre lucky if you get 12 or 13

DL: Sad thing is people like his nonsense as well. Ha ha.
DL: So "No Hooks" you decided not to use any hooks because you wanted people to know your songs for your songs, and not just on hooks. I can dig it, Thats a really original idea, but can we expect to hear some hooks soon?

DizZy: I have stuff with hooks. I have a shit load of music.. But just waiting till I have a bigger audience to hear it. Next mixtape will have hooks. Lol. Hot shit!

DL: I've had this one in the ipod on repeat for almost a full 24 hours, so I'm already eager for the next..

DizZy: I have another mixtape called I am McLovin I can send u later

DL: Oh yes, you can deff. do that =]
DL: I read you were signed at one point and thinks didn't quite work out. ARe you looking to get signed with anyone else anytime soon? Or are you looking to continue on the independent route?

DizZy: Um. Signing? It a have to be a great situation. If not, ill be doing my independent thing for good

DL: Well you're a greatly talented individual. And like I have already told you, you have an extremely bright future ahead of you. Get your shades ready. I don't want to take up to much more of your time, so is there anything else you would like to tell the people out there? Let em know whats up.

DizZy: Haha. Um.. Lemme see.stop confusing different with talent. Stop bigging up these people who aint shit. We say we tired of the bullshit coming out but we are the ones entertained by it. The state of music is in the shitter because we let bullshit appear to be roses when it aint. All these new fukers trying to be the greatest.. Fuk that shit. My sole purpose is to entertain, inform and speak for the people.. My people. Just cause a person rap over pencil taps and claps.. Wear tight ass jeans and got tatts.. He aint good. Its still rap. And if its bs.. Its bs!

"E Dot DiZzy" DizZyana "No Hooks"

I started reading this cats blog not to long ago. And from the JUMP I knew he was a force to be reckoned with. His words alone can capture a true emotion even the most arrogant female or hard headed man can relate too. So you can assume I was extremely geeked when I got the news that he was workin' on a mixtape, and releasing it for download on his blog!

Eric "E Dot DiZzy" is originated out of Indianapolis, Indiana. He now resides in ATL. He's a 22 year old who produces, writes, and records all his own music. Apparently theres not alot this guy can't do. In September 11, 2008 he was signed to Universal Motown. He is now in the process of working independently. His new mixtape "DizZyana NO HOOKS" is his first lone project since leaving the label and working on his own. He's working to prove that he CAN do this, and with this new drop he is doing a damn good job, at proving all he needs is himself and a beat.
